Hal Pendergrass, a licensed Psychologist, has been in private practice since 1980. He has been married since 1972 and has four children. About one half of Hal’s practice is in marital and family concerns, the remainder is with individual adults. Psychological assessments using a variety of personality, intelligence, and vocational tests are available. Hal has developed a sub-specialty in the treatment of sexual addictions, and in helping with homosexually oriented males who want to practice sexual purity as represented in the Bible. He also has extensive experience and supervision in the treatment of borderline personality disorder and related conditions. Hal is a graduate of Covenant College, Covenant Theological Seminary and Southern Illinois University. His fees are partially covered under a variety of health plans.
Karen Hathaway. Karen is a graduate of the Christian counseling program of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois and Missouri and is a preferred provider on several health insurance plans including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Value Options, CompPsych, and Unity Mercy. Karen worked as an elementary school teacher in California before being trained as a counselor. She has a continuing interest in working with children and their parents. She has developed and leads group therapy for children ranging in age from 5 to 14 years old. These groups focus on the common problems of school age children such as healthy self image, management of anger and other feelings, and maintenance of friendships.
